Mentoring Overview
Private 1-on-1 landscape mentoring and workshops offer a bespoke and immersive learning experience. These sessions are designed to help you grow as a photographer, with the focus on creative development and technical process. It is all about what you want to learn to help improve your photography.
It doesn’t matter if you have just picked up a camera and are delving into this genre of photography for the first time, or if you are more experienced looking to develop your composition and creative process. These sessions provide an opportunity for all levels of photographer to receive tuition tailored to your skill level, goals and specific interests.
My approach is to provide you with the technical and creative tools that will empower you to create unique images, personal to you. Together, we will build a program that best suits your vision in a way that suits you.

A Pathway to Creating Compelling Imagery
We seek to tell powerful stories with our cameras. Landscape and nature photography is a unique mix of skills that brings together technical proficiency, personal influence and creative thought to generate art that is as unique as we are. By developing technical knowledge and also understanding ourselves, we reach a point where the intuitive side of our brains outweighs the logical side. From this we start to create personally meaningful images.
Choose Your Mentoring
You can choose to book to the hour, a full day in the field or join one of the bespoke mentoring programs. I will work with you to develop tuition programme that is best suited to your requirements and schedule.
Mentoring Sessions
Fully bespoke mentoring sessions that can be booked by the hour to discuss your creative ideas and photography development. They can be used to focus on post-processing and editing tuition, image/portfolio reviews or even just to have a creative chat. Sessions are conducted virtually (and recorded), Alternatively we can meet up in person to work on your photography.
1-to-1 Day Workshops
Spend a full day in the field honing your photography skills. As always, we will start with a call to discuss your requirements and ascertain your goals for the session. On the day we will visit our chosen location and work together on developing your photography. This workshop includes a 1 hour complimentary virtual meeting to discuss post-processing or image critiques.
Mentoring & Development Programs
This is the full landscape photography mentoring package! It is for photographers who are seriously looking to build their skills to develop their creative vision. The courses take a deep-dive into specialist subjects and techniques through a combination of in-field tuition with remote learning. I will work with you to create a schedule that suits your way of learning and availability.

How I work with you
Book Your Session
Choose whether you want to book me for an hour or two, a full day or even one of the development courses. The sessions are fully bespoke and will be designed with you and your photography in mind.
Getting to Know You
If you booked a 1-to-1 day workshop or longer, I will schedule a call with you to discuss your photography vision and goals. I will work with you to a develop tuition that its best suited to your requirements and schedule. If you booked by the hour, I will ask you to complete a form prior to your session.
Bespoke Tuition
Based on the initial assessment, I will create a bespoke plan focussing on the skills you want to develop. We can explore a wide range of topics including composition, post-processing and creative thought that will help bring your visions to life.
In the Field
If you are joining me in the field, you will be getting hands on with your camera and practising techniques in an amazing location and seeing the results in real-time. I will be on hand at all times to provide guidance and feedback.
Online Learning
No matter whether you are joining on a mentoring programme or just booking a single session, online tuition is used to deliver feedback, demonstrate techniques or even just chat about photography. All sessions are recorded and sent to you as a resource you can refer back to.
Feedback & Support
These programmes are about your growth as a photographer. Throughout the process, you will receive constructive feedback and support to help you achieve your goals, in order to take your photography forward.
Workshop Locations
Private mentoring sessions are primarily run in north Wales & the surrounding areas of northwest England. We will discuss locations during the initial consultation call and base them on the skills you want to focus on.
Other Locations
Alternatively sessions can be booked for wherever you and your camera want to go (both in the UK and internationally), subject to my availability. Additional fees for travel and accommodation will apply.
