Harris & Lewis Landscape Photography Workshop

£2,599 per person (£350 non-refundable deposit)
18 - 24 October 2026

Set against the back drop of the wild Atlantic coastline, the Isles of Harris & Lewis are truly awe inspiring. It feels like they were built for the sole purpose of landscape photography. The islands have everything from white and windswept beaches and amazing seas, to craggy mountains. When the Atlantic weather systems roll in, you can experience some of the most incredible light displays. The photographic opportunities are endless.

Workshop Overview

  • Spend 7 days in Harris & Lewis with Eugene and Matthias and enjoy access to incredible locations.
  • 18 -24th October 2026
  • 6 nights single occupancy accommodation with breakfast included at the Harris Hotel in Tarbet
  • Complimentary transport available.
  • In-depth tuition in the field.
  • Post processing and image review sessions with individual feedback
  • Use of Maven filters, Gitzo tripods and Sigma lenses throughout the workshop
  • Moderate fitness level required.
  • The chance to meet likeminded photographers and make new friendships.

Come and experience the incredible landscapes of the Outer Hebrides with Eugene Theron & Matthias Conrad. This landscape photography workshop will take you to the farthest reaches of Scotland. The Isles of Harris & Lewis, although conjoined, are quite different. On Harris, you will get to photograph some of the finest beaches in the country. Expansive and sandy, yet exposed to the Atlantic, which leads to some incredible conditions when then weather comes in. Lewis, with its rock coast and impressive cliffs, is the complete opposite, yet still photographically incredible. The craggy coastline is interspersed with incredible white sandy beaches, with sea stacks dotted around the coast.

We will be out for sunrise and sunset no matter what the conditions. At this time of year dusk and dawn are at sensible times, yet still with enough time during the day to explore the area and also get some post processing or image reviews in.

You will spend 7 days (6 nights) exploring the Isles while based at the Harris Hotel in Tarbet. An ideal base for photographers. All rooms are single occupancy and have breakfast included in the price. Transport will be available throughout the workshop to take you to all the locations.

If you have any questions, we encourage you to reach out to either myself or Matthias. It is an incredible place to make photos and we look forward to welcoming you on the workshop.

After this workshop is finished, we are running a 7 day (6 night) trip visiting the Isle of Skye and Glencoe, starting on 27th October 2026. We are offering a 10% discount for anyone who wants to book on onto both workshops. For more details please click the link below:

Education & Experience

For the duration of the workshop you will be under the guidance of two experienced work shop leaders. Eugene and Matthias have differing yet complimentary styles in photography and come with a wealth of knowledge to back that up.

While visiting the incredible locations on this trip, we will work with you to help create images you are proud of. The group is small, with a 1:4 ratio of instructors to photographers, so there will be plenty of time for 1-on-1 help, yet we also want to give you space to explore and create on your own. This is part of our ethos. We don’t want to tell you what to do so you become a clone of our work, but want to give you the tools, both technical and creative, to make images that are unique to you.

So, no matter your level of photography we can provide you with the tuition you need. We cover all topics including basic camera settings, compositional ideas, storytelling and creative thought just to name a few.

Above all, we want you to have an incredible experience, both from a photographic and travel point of view. We believe that by traveling to places such as these we are inspired to make some of our best work. By immersing ourselves in inspiring locations and sharing that with a group of likeminded people, we get the right mindset to create.

We have also teamed up with a number of high-end photography brands to provide gear for you to try out on the workshop. This is an excellent experience to get hands on with incredible gear.
